The sheets will be in the Narthex for another week. Since it is a set menu, please only bring what is listed. Thanks again!

AMAZING NEWS!
Back in July of 2011, the Albrecht's granddaughter, Katherine Mary, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma, and she started treatment at Stanford's Pediatric Oncology Unit. She remained on our Prayer List until January 2012, when they told her she was in total remission! Today, Katherine Mary is 100% cancer free!!! She is studying at UC Davis, and currently visiting her grandparents. She and her family wish to offer you their most heartfelt "Thanks!"

AMAZING NEWS!

INTERIM/CALL COMMITTEE: The Call Committee is making progress! As of October 20th, five phone interviews have been made, with three (possibly four) more scheduled over the next two weeks. There will be a Special Voters Meeting (for the congregation to vote for a Pastor to Call) on Sunday, November 24th immediately after the Single Service at 10am. Synopses of the interviews will be available to the congregation on Sunday, November 10th.

IFM SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER: Join us Friday, November 8th at Paulette's Country Kitchen, 5 to 8pm. Tickets are $10/ea. and can be purchased from Mary A. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, and a roll. Drinks, desserts, and prizes are available for an additional cost.

LWML: MITES FOR BITES! - This is a NO BAKE - BAKE SALE. There is a Cookie Jar in the Narthex to collect your donations. Suggested donation--how much would you spend on cake/cookie mixes, etc. or how much would you spend to purchase a yummy goodie? That sounds like a good amount!

The spare key to the Social Hall bathrooms is missing! Please return it to the office.

Please make sure that the coffee pots are turned off and unplugged if you are the last one out of the Narthex. They have been found on three times last month. This is a FIRE HAZARD!

Items needed are: Toiletries (toothpaste, bar soap, hair ties, combs, etc.); School supplies (pens/pencils, rulers, notebooks, crayons, etc.); Small toys (jump ropes, jacks, yoyos, cars, games, etc.). The shoeboxes will be packed by our LWML on Wednesday, October 16th! You can still do your own box if you would like to--we still need it in by October 16th! The Rhythm Riders and Will Derryberry are just a couple of the music makers this year! The event will kick off at 1 p.m. and will end around 9 p.m. So, come for a while or stay for the whole event!

Annual Church Picnic: Sunday, Sept. 8th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Condon Park. Don't know where Condon Park is? We have printed out a map in case you don't know how to get there (copies in the Narthex). Need a ride? Just contact Eric G. and Men's Ministry will help you get there. Games for all ages, and a special contest -- more information next week!

HIGH SCHOOL HANGOUT: While NUHS starts on Wednesday, August 14th, the Hangout opens on Monday, August 26th. If you would like to help out, they can always use volunteers and bottled water. Contact Garrett or Pat N.
