Higher Things Youth Conference

July 16-19th

Today is the last day to sign up!!!  Join us for four amazing days of being immersed in the gospel!  The mission of Higher Things is to assist parents, pastors, and congregations in cultivating, encouraging and promoting a distinctly Lutheran identity among youth and young adults.  Bring a friend!!!  The conference will be held at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.

GLC Rummage Sale:  It’s that time of year again!  We’re taking donations between now and July 18th.  Please no clothes!!!  Call Neil K. (432-6544) to schedule dates and times for pick-up and drop-off of donated items.  The Sale will take place July 19th & 20th.

INTERIM/CALL COMMITTEE:  The committee will meet today at 12:15 p.m. to consider guidelines for Pre-Call Interviews.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING:  There will be a Special Voters Meeting on June 30th immediately after the Single Service (which starts at 10 a.m.), to consider the revised Constitution, Guiding Principals, and By-Laws.  Please prepare for this meeting by studying the Interim Recommendations by Pastor Meyer available in the Narthex.

The Salvation Army is looking for helpers/sponsors for one or more of their rooms at the Booth Center on Ridge Road.  If you would like to help please contact Janice O’Brien at 265-5403.

The Lutheran Hour Ministries still needs our support in keeping The Lutheran Hour broadcast on KNCO 830AM (Sundays at 7:30 a.m.)  Please use the designated offering envelopes located in the Narthex to help us reach our goal of $3,800!

Thank you to Virginia T. for her generous donation from the Gerald T. Memorial Fund.  We were able to purchase 36 more pew Bibles.

GLC RUMMAGE SALE:  It's that time of year again!  Men's Ministry and LWML are accepting donations of furniture, books, dishes, tools, purses, sporting goods, small appliances, etc.  Please NO clothing!  Call Neil K. at 432-6544 to arrange a time for drop-off or pick-up of donations between now and July 18th.  The Rummage Sale will be held on July 19th and 20th.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING:  There will be a Special Congregational Meeting on JUNE 30th immediately after the Blended Worship Service.  At this meeting, we will vote on the revised By-Laws, Guiding Principles, and Constitution; as well as, a vote to keep Pastor Meyer on as long as he can during the Call process.

SILVER RING THING: Grace Lutheran Church, in partnership with LivingWell, was able to help the "Silver Ring Thing" with an event last week. We were able to have over 650 kids hear about Dating & Waiting, and the best choices! Over 200 kids made the commitment to purity and over 100 kids made a commitment/rededication of their lives to Christ! Thank you to the volunteers that were host homes, gave their financial support, volunteered, and, of course, our dedicated Prayer Warriors! Thank you for making this the largest SRT event ever held in Grass Valley!
