GLC RUMMAGE SALE:  It's that time of year again!  We will continue to accept donations until this Thursday, July 18th--furniture, books, tools, dishes, purses, sporting goods, garden tools, etc.  Please NO CLOTHES!  Call Neil K. to arrange a date/time to drop-off items, or to have someone come out to pick-up items.  REMEMBER THE RUMMAGE SALE IS HAPPENING THIS FRIDAY (7/19) AND SATURDAY (7/20)!!!  Refreshments will be for sale!  So come hungry, thirsty and ready to shop!

INTERIM/CALL COMMITTEE:  The Call Committee has drafted has drafted a list of pre-call interview questions--these are posted on the bulletin board.  Interviews will commence after President Newton returns a call list.

THE LUTHERAN WITNESS:  New and renewal subscriptions for The Lutheran Witness are due in July.  Sign-up sheet is in the Narthex.  Please make checks payable to:  Grace Lutheran Church.

RESULTS OF THE 6/30 CONGREGATIONAL MEETING:  Out of 99 Active Voting Members--54 attended the meeting.  There were three motions moved and seconded:  1) To accept the modifications (prepared by our Board of Governance) to our 2009 Constitution and By-Laws--this vote was waylaid by a substitute motion made during the discussion, 2) The substitute motion to rescind the 2009 Constitution and By-Laws and return to the 2000 Constitution and By-Laws--a vote of 22 to 17 (with 15 abstaining) passed this motion, 3) To extend Pastor Meyer's contract during the interim--this was passed unanimously.

FUTURE COUNCIL POSITIONS:  Please prayerfully consider signing up for one of the council positions.  Sign-up sheets are on the table in the Library.

INVITATIONS: 
MOUNT OLIVE LUTHERAN CHURCH, FOLSOM has extended an invitation to us for the Installation of their new resident Pastor, The Reverend Ryan Hochgrebe.  The Installation date is TODAY, July 14th at 4pm at 320 Montrose Drive in Folsom, CA.

PIONEER PARK PICNIC POPS CONCERT, Sunday, July 28th:  Bring a picnic dinner and lawn chairs, and look for our sign "GLC".  This concert features guest musicians, with our own Pastor Meyer joining in.  If you have any questions, contact Marilyn T. or Debbie B.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING TODAY!:  There will be an IMPORTANT Congregational Meeting TODAY in the Sanctuary immediately after the Single Service (that starts at 10am).  We will be voting on the proposed revised By-Laws, Guiding Principals, and Constitution.  We will also be voting on the extension of Pastor Meyer's contract.  Please come with a prepared heart.

Higher Things Youth Conference
July 16-19th
Today is the last day to sign up!!!  Join us for four amazing days of being immersed in the gospel!  The mission of Higher Things is to assist parents, pastors, and congregations in cultivating, encouraging and promoting a distinctly Lutheran identity among youth and young adults.  Bring a friend!!!  The conference will be held at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.

GLC Rummage Sale:  It’s that time of year again!  We’re taking donations between now and July 18th.  Please no clothes!!!  Call Neil K. (432-6544) to schedule dates and times for pick-up and drop-off of donated items.  The Sale will take place July 19th & 20th.

INTERIM/CALL COMMITTEE:  The committee will meet today at 12:15 p.m. to consider guidelines for Pre-Call Interviews.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING:  There will be a Special Voters Meeting on June 30th immediately after the Single Service (which starts at 10 a.m.), to consider the revised Constitution, Guiding Principals, and By-Laws.  Please prepare for this meeting by studying the Interim Recommendations by Pastor Meyer available in the Narthex.

The Salvation Army is looking for helpers/sponsors for one or more of their rooms at the Booth Center on Ridge Road.  If you would like to help please contact Janice O’Brien at 265-5403.
