Church Picnic Update:  In Condon Park on Sunday, Sept. 8th at 2 p.m.  Don't know where Condon Park is?  We have printed out a map in case you don't know how to get there (copies in the Narthex).  Need a ride?  Just contact Eric G. and Men's Ministry will help you get there.  Games for all ages, and a special contest - more information week!  FOOD CONTEST AND PRIZES for the best salad and dessert!  Please bring your recipe for each so that we can share!

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans!  Sunday, September 22nd @ 12:15 p.m.  Wonder how your investments could be serving you better?  Come and find out!  We will be in the Social Hall immediately following second service.  Refreshments will be served.  Please see the sign-up sheet in the Narthex.  Deadline to sign up is 9/20.

Life Line Screening:  Wednesday, August 28th.  Here at GLC.  Two different packages are available.  Please see the table in the Narthex for more information.  For every person that signs up, GLC will get a small donation...just be sure to use the code at the bottom of the registration form.

Praise in the Mountains:  The 22nd Annual Free Christian Concert, Saturday, August 31st at Gateway Park in Penn Valley.  Drawings, prizes and food all day long!  The Rhythm Riders and Will Derryberry are just a couple of the music makers this year!  The event will kick off at 1 p.m. and will end around 9 p.m.  So, come for a while or stay for the whole event!

SAMARITANS PURSE, OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:  We are starting to collect different items each month for this ministry.  For August, we need:  School supplies; flip-flops & socks; and, hygiene items (please, NO liquid soap!). Place donated items in the box in the Narthex.  Thank you!  For more information, contact Diane G. or Mary B.
