INTERIM/CALL COMMITTEE:  The Call Committee has drafted pre-call interview questions which are posted on the bulletin board.  Interviews will begin after President Newton returns a call list, which should be this week.

SAMARITANS' PURSE:  OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - There is a box in the Narthex for your August donations of:  1) School supplies; 2) Flip-flops and socks; 3) Hygiene articles.  (Refer to article is GLC August Newsletter.  Sept. and Oct. will have separate lists of needs).  If you have any questions, contact Diane G. or Mary B.

EVENTS: 
LIFE LINE SCREENING on Wednesday, August 28th at GLC!  Two packages are available.  Please see the table in the Narthex for more information and how to sign up.  GLC will receive small donation per person in return--be sure to use the code at the bottom of the page when signing up!

PRAISE IN THE MOUNTAINS:  The 22nd Annual Free Christian Concert on Saturday, August 31st in Gateway Park, Penn Valley.  Drawings, prizes and food all day long!  The Rhythm Riders and Will Derryberry are just a few of the musicians this year!  The event kicks off at 1 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL HANGOUT:  While NUHS starts on Wednesday, August 14th, the Hangout opens on Monday, August 26th.  If you would like to help out, they can always use volunteers and bottled water.  Contact Garrett or Pat N.
