INTERIM/CALL COMMITTEE:  Pre-call interview questions are posted on the bulletin board for your review.  Interviews will begin after the committee reads the files on the candidates.

BIBLE STUDY RESUMING:  The Wednesday Bible Study will resume on September 4th at 9 a.m. in the Narthex.  Please add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Narthex if you would like to attend so we may plan accordingly.

HELP NEEDED:
THE LUTHERAN HOUR MINISTRIES still needs our support to keep their broadcast on the air at our local radio station (KNCO 830AM on Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m.).  Our goal is to raise $3,800.  Please use the Designated Offering Envelopes in the Narthex, and make checks payable to:  Grace Lutheran Church

SAMARITANS PURSE, OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:  We are starting to collect different items each month for this ministry.  For August, we need:  School supplies; flip-flops & socks; and, hygiene items (please, NO liquid soap!). Place donated items in the box in the Narthex.  Thank you!  For more information, contact Diane G. or Mary B.

EVENTS:
LIFE LINE SCREENING:  Here at GLC on Wednesday, August 28th.  There are two packages available.  Please see the information in the Narthex for more information and how to sign up.  For every person that signs up, GLC will receive a $10 donation in return.  Just be sure to use the code at the bottom of the page when signing up!

PRAISE IN THE MOUNTAINS:  The 22nd Annual Free Christian Concert on Saturday, August 31st in Gateway Park in Penn Valley.  Drawings, prizes and food all day long!  The Rhythm Riders and Will Derryberry are just a few of the musicians this year.  The event kicks off at 1 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m.

GLC's ANNUAL PICNIC:  Join us for our Church Picnic on Sunday, September 8th at Condon Park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  BBQ Tri-tip and chicken, drinks, and place settings are provided.  Salads and desserts are potluck--last names A to L bring desserts, and M to Z bring salads.  For more information, contact Debbie B. or Marilyn T.
